Chivas Regal Sake Cask Finish

Pernod Ricard Japan has continued its collaboration with the Masuizumi Brewery in the Toyama prefecture. Having earlier crafted a limited edition Sake called “Link 8888” aged in Chivas Regal whisky barrels, the collaboration has now seen a role reversal of sorts with the first Scotch whisky partially finished in Sake barrels called "Chivas Regal Takumi Reserve 12 Year”.
The whisky, primarily meant for the Asian market, has gone on sale in Japan on 30 Sep 2024 at an approximate retail price of 7,260 Yen for a 700 ml bottle..

Awasake

Awasake is a type of sparkling sake, produced using a secondary fermentation process, similar to the method used in creating Champagne.
The Japan Awasake Association, established in Japan in 2016, is dedicated to promoting and standardizing the production of Awasake. Presently it has 33 member breweries.
Founded to ensure quality and authenticity, the association sets strict guidelines that member breweries must follow. These standards help maintain the unique characteristics and high quality of Awasake, contributing to its growing popularity both domestically and internationally.
