In this video, I taste KAZA G-25, a distinctive barley shochu from Sakagura Ohtemon (Miyazaki, Japan) with my Sommelier friend Sagar Nath who is also the Founder of a thriving wellness company called Shunya India that is based in the Himalayas.

The Shochu was received directly by me from Sakagura Ohtemon and I had to taste it with somebody equally passionate as me regarding such niche beverages.
With no technical data available about the Shochu at the time of the tasting, it was more or less a “blind tasting”. Later we learnt hat this particular Shochu uses a whisky yeast and hence is very unique.

Sake Club India collaborated with Japanese company NIHONSHUNISHIYO CO., LTD. to present a curated and diverse portfolio of Japanese Sake, Gin, Whisky, Awamori and Liqueurs. The partnership enabled a well-rounded showcase of producers from different terroirs, styles and regional philosophies across Japan.
