September-October 2024 was designated as “Japan Month” by the Embassy of Japan in India, with the goal of strengthening bilateral relations between India and Japan across various sectors. The wide range of activities during Japan Month includes seminars, symposia, and exhibitions, with Japanese drinks and cuisine playing a key role in the festivities.

We had the pleasure of attending the Japanese Food Festival at the Embassy of Japan on September 20, followed by a visit to the Japanese Pavilion at World Food India, which took place from September 19-22 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event where Japan this year was the Partner Country, was India’s largest food trade fair, organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), Government of India.

At these events, we enjoyed an impressive selection of Sake, Shochu, Gin, Liqueurs, and even flavoured sparkling water, which truly sparked our imagination. The regional food offerings were equally outstanding! Sharing a few images from these events below.
